Vita Science Maxasorb Vitamin B12 Cream Review

I've never used a topical treatment to get my vitamins, so I was intrigued to try Vita Science's Maxasorb Vitamin B12 cream. It's measured out so you get the right dosage-2 full pumps a day gives you 320 micrograms of Vitamin B12, 120 micrograms of Vitamin B3 (Niacin), and 10 micrograms of Folate.

This is from Vita Science's website:
Maintaining overall energy levels and cognitive abilities supports a healthy lifestyle. Vitamin B12 and folate help preserve DNA integrity and are important for lowering homocysteine levels. Key medical experts even suggest that all healthy adults over 50 years of age supplement their diets with 100 to 400 micrograms per day of Vitamin B12.

I was still curious about the benefits of Vitamin B12, so I looked at the FAQ on Vita Science's website:
Vitamin B12 and folate are essential for preserving DNA integrity. They are also important for lowering homocysteine levels. High homocysteine levels increase risks for cardiovascular problems. B12 is also essential for synthesis of neurotransmitters and maintaining healthy neurons (nerve health). Healthy neurons improve cognitive processes and increase overall energy levels. Because vitamin B12 malabsorption and vitamin B12 deficiency are more common in older adults, the Linus Pauling Institute recommends that adults older than 50 years take 100 to 400 mcg/day of supplemental vitamin B12.

I'm happy to be taking better care of myself and hopefully increase my energy levels-Lord knows I need it with these kids who never let me sleep! It contains moisturizers and antioxidants which are great for your skin, and has anti-aging benefits as well. I'm also grateful this comes in a lotion form which means less pills for me. I didn't even know there were topical vitamins so I'm definitely going to look into it more!

It has a pinkish tint and a peppermint smell with no greasy residue-love it!
