Landon is 23 Months Old!

Landon, you are 23 months old! You are less than a month away from turning 2! You are learning all the time and always keep us laughing. You have such a contagious laugh and are just the happiest kid ever. Your Sunday School teachers say you are the absolute most well behaved kid in the class. That makes me very proud because I know you have your terrible 2 moments at home! You love to get into stuff with your childlike curiosity so I know it's completely normal. You are a sweet brother and still are the most cuddly little thing. You give great hugs and kisses and love to wave at me from another room, saying "Hi, Mommy" just for the heck of it. You can say a ton and are working on your sentences.

You are tough and love to wrestle with Daddy and Madison. You also love to dance. We have family worship time several times a week, usually after supper. That is when you jam out to some Jesus music blaring out of the surround sound. It's a ton of fun and you always ask for it all day long. You also love baths and washing your hands. You go on the potty somewhat regularly but we haven't taken you out of diapers yet. That day is coming very soon! You still nap great and sleep about 11-12 hours at night. You've climbed out of your crib twice now but Mommy caught you both times. I happen to walk in at the right time after hearing you say "Out!" You have not tried it again since. You have done great in your toddler bed but you stay in your crib longer in the mornings. Mommy is not a morning person so you are being kept in your crib as long as possible!

You are acting very excited about your baby brother coming soon. You love to rub my belly, kiss it, and say "hey baby." You show me your loving side when you hold your sister's baby dolls, but soon after you are back to crashing your trucks and cars and making spitting noises.

You are starting preschool next week and because of your birthday, you will probably be the oldest in the class. You seem to be very excited and it helps that your sister is too. You typically do not want to leave what you're playing with to go home.

I'm not sure how big you are, but my guess would be still around 25 pounds. You are the skinny/muscular type just like your sister. You're extremely athletic and always impress us with what you can do! You're in 18 month-2T clothes and you go through several shirts a day with your messes and your drooling. You've been drooling like crazy for awhile now and I thought your 2 year molars were finally coming in, but they're not. You only have those 4 left to get. You're in a size 4 diaper and somewhere around a size 6 shoe. You only wear tennis shoes and crocs, you HATE flip flops since they go in between your toes. (I prefer you barefoot because you have the world's cutest feet.) Your hair grows like crazy and I'm tired of going to get it cut, but you look cute either way.

You are our big, big boy and we love you to pieces. I can never get enough of you and your sweetness. I can't wait to celebrate you again in less than a month!!
